Pink Punk Mood
Arol
Arol’s solo exhibition “Pink Punk Mood” at Caelis Galería reveals the artist’s fascinating journey from visual design and printmaking to computer painting, and finally to oil painting on wood — a medium through which he interprets his surrealistic artistic ideas.
The subtlety of design and the finesse of computers are now harmoniously blended in Arol’s dreamy pink punk theater. His work invites viewers into a world where familiar forms and unexpected elements coexist in compositions that challenge conventional boundaries.
Arol’s artistic practice explores the boundary between the digital and the physical, creating works that are both deeply personal and universally resonant — a testament to the artist’s ongoing dialogue between technique, imagination, and emotional expression.

About the Artist
Arol
Unconscious Surrealism
Born in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Between pencils and Legos, it was clear to him that creativity was as necessary for him as breathing. In 2003, in search of new challenges, he traveled to Spain where he has lived ever since. Although art has always been one of his great loves since he was a child, he had the opportunity to focus more on artistic works such as illustration. Despite having flirted with digital art since the 90's, it was not until 2010 that he decided to develop as an artist using pop surrealism as a language.
Through the light play of light and shadow, focus and backlight, in an almost theatrical staging, the whole of his work sinks its roots in a surreal, dreamlike, symbolic language that launches without filters and without reason the images rescued from the recesses of the unconscious. Figures that are both tender and disturbing, sometimes devoid of surroundings and represented in their own existence, rich in nuances and details.
