Sniqus 'Forever Friends' at Sabadell Contemporary Art Museum
Caelis Galería, in collaboration with the Catalonia Foundation, opened the exhibition “SNIQUS – Forever Friends” at the Sabadell Contemporary Art Museum in Spain on May 18, 2024.
About the Exhibition
The artist presents a “nostalgic journey,” reimagining his childhood spent at his grandparents’ farm as a surrealist dream. The small animals that accompanied him during his childhood and the past masters who nourished his artistic dreams are honored in this series of works.
This exhibition is a heartfelt tribute — a homage to the innocent life and the aesthetic brilliance of artistic inspiration. The past life and thoughts intertwine on the canvas, with SNIQUS’s skill in unifying both conscious and unconscious elements in his mixed media. Oil paint, acrylics, spray paint, and ink are used to embed hidden symbols and extraordinary details, weaving a web of endless thought.
