Caelis Galería continued its participation in the West Bund Art & Design Fair, held November 7–10, 2024. Founded in 2014, the West Bund Art & Design Fair has become one of the leading international art fairs for showcasing high-quality contemporary art.

West Bund Art & Design has established itself as one of Asia’s most influential contemporary art fairs. Located in Shanghai’s West Bund cultural corridor, the fair brings together leading galleries from China and internationally, creating a vital platform for contemporary art dialogue. As the fair entered its second decade, Caelis Galería was honored to join forces and contribute to the positive and diverse development of the contemporary art ecosystem.
Booth 137 — Featured Artists
At booth 137, Caelis Galería presented a selection of contemporary surrealist and pop art works by nine Spanish artists, spanning different generations.
Established Voices
The gallery featured new and innovative works by long-term representatives, such as contemporary Spanish surrealist painters August Vilella and Cesc Abad, whose distinct visual languages continue to captivate collectors and critics alike.
Emerging Talent
New oil paintings by the emerging “post-2000s” artist Pedro Hoz were also featured — his work combining surrealism and classical aesthetics has already received significant industry acclaim. Rounding out the presentation were works by Arol, Jaime Sangro, and other gallery artists, each bringing their unique perspective to the dialogue between contemporary surrealism and the broader art world.
